LEARN TO SWIM!

THEME: Learn to swim! The project of the Bolderaja group - an answer to those planners of Riga and politicians of Latvia who think that they can fool the floods with laws.

While politicians are trying to invent and implement schemes on how to bypass the Flood directive and create laws and regulations that would benefit the Big Port Business, people who live near the water and know how helpless they are when faced with floods, can only be given the following advice: "Learn to swim!"

SIZE/TECHNIQUE/MEDIA: Free - (video, multiples, sound work, poetry, visual poetry, objects…)

NO RETURNS, NO SALES, NO JURY

EXHIBITION - within the framework of the Latvian Contemporary Arts Center's project titled "the survival kit," on September 2009 on the main streets of Riga, in one of the shops that closed its doors due to the economic crises.

Kurs an der JUKS mit Judith Drews

. . . . . . . . . SCHÖNE NEUIGKEIT . . . . . . . . . Ganz überraschend und schon ab nächster Woche werde ich in Pankow an der JUKS einen Kurs übernehmen! Thema: \"Botanische Malerei\" Donnerstags: 16 - 18 Uhr Kosten: 50 EUR (im Halbj.) Das Besondere: Es ist zwar die Jugendkunstschule, aber der Kurs ist offen für alle! Wir arbeiten im weitesten Sinne nach Objekten der Natur - und jeder in seiner gewünschten Technik. Selbstverständlich werde ich auch immer mal andere Techniken vorstellen! Ebenso wird es sich im Kurs auch jedes Mal um das Thema Farblehre und Komposition drehen. Stilistisch ist alles möglich! Es sollen in meinem Kurs nicht vorrangig aquarellierte Blumensträusse entstehen - vielmehr werden wir uns auch andere Künstler wie z.B. Olaf Hajek, Natalie Lété, Horst Janssen, Juri Wasnezow uvm anschauen, um von Ihnen zu lernen. Im Vordergrund steht ganz klar der SPASS!!! Ich würde mich freuen, wenn es ein kleiner, feiner Kurs wird... kommt einfach vorbei! ich lade euch herzlich zur ersten vernissage der gruppenausstellung

M6-M3 unterwegs/underway ein.

sie findet am freitag, den 6. märz 2009 von 18-20:00 h in der

alexandra gallery, university of cumbria, bowerham road, lancaster campus

statt. für diejenigen, die nicht dabei sein können - die ausstellung ist

"unterwegs" und endet im mai in berlin in der kunsthalle M3, nachdem sie

an drei orten in england gezeigt wurde.

for those you can´t come - the exhibition is "underway" and will be

shown in berlin in may. in england the exhibition takes place across

three galleries before transferring to germany and ending in the M3

kunsthalle in berlin.
